Upon recording the new tracks for Polychromatic Specters (still due for late 2024), came across the masters for some of the later, older tracks, mainly 2019 to 2022. Roger Ebert once said that editing is the soul of the cinema. The same can be said for music.

In particular, jYEA and Unstable Flower Children were tracks from '30 Years Vol 2' that needed oomph, for lack of a better term. Honestly, They Come out of the Darkness is better in its original form, but it was fun to play around with for this release.

Tracks 1 through 8 are all remixed cuts. In many cases, certain levels were brought up, turned down, lost sounds made their way back into the mix, blah blah blah. Tracks 9 and 10 are new from this year. Track 11 is simply a throwaway and fits perfectly at the end.

Checking all the boxes, this release passed the headphones, boombox, car stereo and psychedelic tests.

Got one more scattered comp of old, basementy style and unreleased tracks coming sooner than later. Always nice to revisit the gutter for sure. After that, it's all moving forward from here.

Looking forward to completing Polychromatic Specters and the debut of the obnoxious side-project Preachers & Herb.

Preachers & Herb is a new side-project, also due out in 2024. P&H will be a much more aggressive, fun, noisy, and evil vibe.
